MSO Members,
Recently, it has come to our attention that certification classes for new installers and inspectors at Missouri DHSS have not been hosted. This is causing a problem for many professionals across the state. With COVID duties, Missouri DHSS is having difficulty keeping up with our industry.
MSO has reached out to DHSS to help with certification classes during this time. Our proposal was not accepted, and a reasonable alternative plan was not proposed. We are asking for your support by reaching out to the Director and Deputy Director of DHSS and requesting they revisit the conversation with MSO.
We must keep our certification classes going to keep our industry strong in the state. There are several businesses that have reached out to me that cannot get new employees certified because there are no new classes. New county regulators are also unable to sign up for classes to gain the knowledge they need to perform high quality county permitting.
Below you will find a letter and email template for your use. Please put this letter on your company letterhead or email to the contacts listed on the Word document.
We appreciate your help in encouraging DHSS to work with us to bring these certification classes back quickly.
Best regards,
Tammy Trantham, Executive Director
