Onsite Wastewater Education for Realtors


In partnership with Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) Onsite Wastewater Treatment Program, MSO is working to bring a class to help realtors understand the role of onsite wastewater treatment on residential homes.  This class provides a general overview of how systems work, why inspections are important and what inspectors look for during an inspection.

Realtors, do you ever get asked questions about septic systems you can’t answer?
The Missouri Smallflows Organization (MSO) and H2Ozarks is hosting a 3-hour class to discuss the types of residential onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS) methods that are used in Missouri. This class is geared toward real estate professionals, but open to the public.

In addition, you’ll learn:
What OWTS Inspectors do to inspect these systems. 
The difference between an inspection and an evaluation. 
How wastewater treatment works on individual homes.
Maintenance tips for septic systems.
Financial assistance to homeowners for repair or replacement.
